Their $6-million house was within walking distance of Beverly Hills; there was a screening room, a thousand-bottle wine cellar, and a cabana by the pool. Zach, who had wanted to act ever since he was a child, had moved to California eight years before. He had tried acting classes and auditions. Then, when he struggled to get parts, he changed tack.
